Hey folks!

I know theres dashboard and center console plans out there but im in need of dash tray and dash liner plans, any idea where there may be some?

Theres no way im paying out about 30 - 40 quid for what is basically some mdf covered in vinyl. Easy to do it myself, just need some plans.

Ideas?

hi mate i dont have any plans for this but i would check out ebay i found these for you whilst having a scout about.

I shouldnt imagine it would be that hard to make, just get some card and template the inside of the dash and then transfer onto some hardboard and cover with whatever you like.

Yeah ive found those, that auction is for the liners only, no tray, the ones with both the liners and the tray are £30, with £7 postage and i know i can make it for cheaper.

Im gunna have a stab at it today, because as im sure anyone reading this can see, its not a horrendously complicated shape in that auction and its certainly not worth £37 posted.

When you have a go at making them, update this please. I would be interested in seeing how they turned out as I'm going to have a go at a later date to doing my own ones.

Ok i made the tray thing, wasnt awful, just hit and miss.

I just copped out and bout some liners, because i didnt trust myself to get it right first time, but ive saved myself about 20 quid doing the tray bit myself.

Heres my attempt anyway:

Wooden version. Looks a bit warped, but its better in person and will be fine when covered.

perfect! I too was thinking about buying the liners, but making the tray.

P.S who's is the gold mini? Is it yours? If so, have you got a project thread for it, I may have missed it? I thought you had a red one or 2?
