Convert mk3 doors to mk1?

Hi, anyone know if it's possible to convert mk3 doors from winding down windows to sliding glass windows?

yep u need to get the sliding window channels to go on the top though i think

You can't use the Mk1 door parts or glass to do it as the doors are a completely different size but there was a kit for this made by some company a while ago. Can't remember who but someone else will probably be able to. If you do this you'll always have trouble getting replacement glass if you break a window, so you could use plastic windows. They do scratch more easily though.

The mini door company offers these to fit to their light ally skinned and lightened "streetfighter" doors.

yeah seen the alu doors advertised by mini doors but they dont sell the sliding windows seperately! maybe i should find a mk1 door, find out how the channel etc is made then make my own and use perspex glass!

I asked them about the track and windows a couple of years ago and they had a few for sale then! might be worth asking again!

i think they are usually at the bingley hall event, if you're going then you can ask there! :cheese:
