hi all iam lookin at putin a 1275 head on my 998 mini is their alot off work involed n is it a good thing 2 do?

Yes, it's a lot of work. Your engine will need to come out and be stripped and have pockets drilled into the deck of the block to allow the valves to open without hitting it. These must be very accurately placed and exactly the right size or your compression ratio will suffer more than it needs to. As for is it a good thing to do, in my opinion it isn't really worht it. The machining involved is expensive and the money to convert and re-assemble the engine could easily buy you a well modified good quality 998 head based on one of the better small bore castings such as a 12G295 along with good valves and springs to go with it when you consider that you would also need to buy a 1275 head. You can use larger valves in the 1275 head as it is bigger but the compression ratio of the engine is reduced by the valve pockets and larger head gasket and the two probably cancel each other out.
