Hello,
I am looking to buy some new wheels for my '94 Mini Mayfair and I need a little bit of advice. The wheels I would like are black with a red pin-stripe around the edge - like these:
http://www.minisport..._Pinstripe.html
http://www.midlandwh...---Red-Rim.html
But I am not sure abiout sizes. I understand the what the different sizes are, and I have read through the "Wheels, what does it all mean" topic (http://www.theminifo...?showtopic=6750) which i found quite useful.
I do not really want to have to make any changes to the body of my mini to make the wheels fit though. Does anyone know what size wheels I could get that would fit without having to make any major changes to my mini? What is the biggest size I could get before I have to start cutting the arches away or other similar changes?
The wheels I want only seem to be on MiniSpares and Midland Wheels - where I can get the following sizes:
- 5 x 12
- 5.5 x 12
- 6 x 12
- 7 x 13
What size do people recommend I get? This will be the first time I have ever bought myself new wheels so the more help people can give me the better
Thanks.
Miniature.

I may get corrected but most people seem to think 5-5.5x12 are the biggest you can get away with without mods, but it depends on the offset of the wheel. So 5x12 would probably be the safe bet. But if you don't mind cutting part of the wing at the front to allow for turning then you could run wider wheels.
