Im using a pioneer DEH-P77MP. I imagine alot of the pioneer hu jave the same functionality and most require the aux in adapter. I have hooked up my xbox and am trying to get the sound in to my hi fi set up. The manual says I should be able to turn the aux input on by pressing the function button repatedly till aux:off apears and then use the rotary selector to change it to on. Ive pressed the function button but i only seem to get options for the radio tuner or cd player. Any one else had this issue?

Not sure about Pioneer.
But if its any help. My //////ALPINE IPOD Head unit has a "Source" button and a "Band" button.
if on CD mode. Pressing band will go from CD mode to IPOD mode. and back to CD.
If pressing Source, it will go through the CD, IPOD and Radio.
May be a case of Finding the correct button.
Also, It could be a dodgey lead. some headunits only allow the option to be available in the menu if the HU knows the lead is present and in the port on the HU.

have tried all buttons. source doesnt let you select aux if its not been enabled. The manual says this feature is enabled by pressing the function button. Alas when the tuner is on I get functions for tuner and when the cd is playing i get functions for the cd player. I'm sure its something really easy but the manual aint helping me here.

If its like my 7700mp you need to do it with the headunit on standby, you then keep your finger on function till the menu appears, find aux and turn it on.
Then when you turn the HU on you find it through source
