all my money that i'm getting at the moment is going into trying to get the front subframe rebuilt.
sorry about not getting any pictures recently i haven't been able to find the camera, hopefully i will be able to find it soon.

The clubby estate looks nice and unmolested - loving the Nuclear power - no thanks sticker. So period.
The donar mini looks better than some peoples projects !!! LOL

after talking to my dad, after taking the 1 litre engine out of my other mini, we decided it would probably be best if i stuck with the 850 engine. the head will probably end up being set off for a bit of work (reshaping valves etc.) as david vizard the man himself said on his seminar on youtube 'you can increase the power of an 850 by 50% through simple head modifications, changing the air filter, manifolds and exhaust'
where i stand at the moment is cleaning the 850 engine ready for painting, the colour scheme is going to be red and black. i have got everything stripped (and cleaned ready for paint) off the block itself but i haven't bothered seperating the block from the gearbox because the engine has only recently had an overhaul with new rings, clutch kit and gaskets etc. with abit of luck tomorrow i might be able to start painting the block and maybe even other bits if i get to go to halfrauds and get some black engine enamel.
i am hoping too maybe get some pics tomorrow if i get chance, as i am also going to whitby on some bini convoy with my dad, hopefully there will be a few propper minis doing the convoy
thanks

i've got the 850 engine fully stripped down and awaiting my buying all the bits for the rebuild. i'm not too sure on what i am going to do to the engine at the moment as i am waiting on delivery of a few david vizard books. i might end up buying a big valve head and pocketing the block, getting everything lightened and balanced, get a megajolt ignition system, new cam and cam bearings drilled etc. but of course to do all of this i will have to buy a stronger crank, new pistons and rods. all will become clear hopefully when i get david vizards legend book!
my mini bits as it stands are pretty much dominating the whole of the garage, my bed room, the shed and the wardrobe
pics!

all the bolts and engine ancillaries seperalty bagged so i might have a chance of remembering how it all goes back together

sadly there isn't many updates, i have just recently moved out of my dads house and have not alot of money to work on the mini with. the mini is also currently at my dads house so getting down there to work on it is awkward for me. i have also sadly had to sell the clubman estate to free up some cash. it all probably sounds like it's not going to happen but i am soon going to be trying to save up to get the hard work on the shell (welding and painting etc.) done at a body shop and then rebuild it myself. i have built up quite a collection of parts now though, just before i moved out i managed to get hold of a very nice just built 1330cc block with pistons and crank which i am hoping to make into abit of a fast road engine. i also have almost all the interior parts i need minus a stereo system which i was going to try and hide it as much as possible to keep the mini looking abit more classic inside.
my mini is also now sat on a spit and i must say is pretty useful! i can't remember if i said about the floor pan on my mini, it has a total of 3 layers in each footwell of metal from previous repairs so i also ordered a complete new floor pan before i moved out. i tried to cut the old floor pan out with an angle grinder but i stopped pretty soon after starting because the 3 layers of floor pans were just eating through the cutting discs and barely doing any cutting.
i am hoping to start saving up to get the work done in the next 6 months and have it finished by possibly half way through next year.
i wish i could have said it is done and on the road
thanks
