i couldn't find them wheels, i don't know what i have done with them, haha.

today i got a new angle grinder from B&Q because i could not find my other one anywhere. so after i got home with the new grinder i got grinding away, after about 1 and a half hours of on and off grinding it burnt out in my hand and smoke was pouring out of it. i will have to go back to B&Q tomorrow and get another grinder. however before the grinder gave up on me i did manage to get almost half of the floor cut out, i'm hoping to get it all cut out tomorrow and possibly even get the new one tacked in to place aslong as the grinder i get doesn't do the same again, haha. it does take a while to cut through the floor too because there has been 2 previous repairs to the whole floor, so there is 3 layers of metal altogether.

here's some quick pics i took:

Jeeze, over sills+multiple floor panels = expensive hidden floor sandwich.

haha, i know, i need to get some new sills really, the floor repairs are pretty bad. having the mini on a spit though makes the work so easy, haha. i just can't wait to get going at it again tomorrow

thanks

I suspect so ha ha, but not as safe now your floor will be 3 times weaker in a crash ;D
EDIT: not that the mini was designed for a crash anyway :P

update! today i got the whole floor tacked in place and am now awaiting wednesday when i shall hopefully be collecting new door steps and some sheet metal to fill some gaps. hopefully wednesday/thursday i shall be getting some more welding done on the door step, floor and front inner wheel arches.

i am also currently building up an 1275 engine that has been re-bored +030 thou so it is a 1301. i currently have got so far for it:

a straight cut box

MED vernier timing

kent 286 camshaft

12g940 stage 3/4 head

fully Reconditioned and very shiny twin HS2's (i am possibly thinking of going with twin HS4's but unsure at the moment

anyways here's some pics of the work done today!

hi guys. there has been a change of plan today. i am going to get a whole boot floor and rear wheel arches so with that in mind everything is going to come to a halt until i can afford the full £350 to get the new panels. then the whole of the underside of the mini will be new pretty much minus the toe board and a few other bits and peices by the time i'm done, haha.

so i'm afraid there won't be an update now until i manage to get together the £350 for a new floor

thanks
