I have pinned my bonnet in all 4 corners instead of using straps at the front, i prefer the look and it does the same job, and the bonnet its a lot quicker to get off and on with pins instead of straps. fitting the pins is a lot harder thou as if you want it done properly then you will need to get brackets welded up in each corner compare to just bolting on the straps, or you could bolt the brackets in place but its more of a temporary job rather than a permanent one ;D

The 'corners' can also be fitted with rivets. Make sure the pins are fitted at a 45° degree angle, have a search on the forum there should be a thread about fitting pins with detailed pics.
I have bonnet hooks at the front, again riveted to body panel and bonnet.

pinned on the front only. original hinges, saves taking bonnet completely off all the time and then driving, standing on it. probably the best for road going cars. when working on the side of the road you have to take it off, put it down inside or in the car and then probably stand or drive over it... :P

cheeky picture XD

oh and i positioned the pins downwards so i can just pull them out and not sideways as some i have seen :)

surely the standard bonnet catch would be sufficient for your requirements then?! :P

Thing is though, on a roundnose you can't really do just the front with pins, you'd have to use pins all round. Otherwise as the bonnet comes down on the hinges it'd just hit the pins.
