When i bought my car, a "QXT250" amp, ontop of a "QXS12Vi" sub was sitting on the passenger seat ( sorry if that information isnt right, idk a thing about I.C.E). I was thinking about planning to put this into my mini but i read a few threads and it seems ALOT of work to get the subwoofer, amps and speakers wired/placed right and get correct sound proofing, and it all adds to a list of things to go wrong. so i was thinking about selling the amp/sub but as the title says, i'm unsure if they work as i havnt been able to test it. Any ideas on value?

Unless your going for a top quality install most of the above doesn't matter, they are just ways of improving the sound. If you're still put off you should get at least £50+ for it.

I'll probably sell it, as my money needs to be spent on essential parts for now. and if i do decide to go for any I.C.E i'll prob buy a package where the sub/amp comes with it all. Anyway of testing it? and if so where would you suggest i sell? here? ebay?

If you have a wiring kit with it just wire it straight to the battery and connect your headunit to it.

It'll probably sell faster on ebay but only if your willing to post and sell it as sold as seen as I've heard some stories of people selling their subs on ebay and the buyer blowing them and sending them back getting a full refund from paypal.

£50 will be the top end of what you can expect to get for the combo to be honest.

Maystar is budget kit but not bad kit at all. But I've seen those amps trade for a fiver, the box looks nice and well built

Stick it on ebay at a start of £25 and see what you get. :D

What you see is what i got. It was just sitting on the seat, the entire car was full of parts (bumpers, arches, lights, this sub/amp)

I wasn't expecting alot of money, i bought the car for 350 quid, and it has had an estimated (estimated by my dad o.O) About 700-1000 pounds spent on it, and that isnt including the shell.... but ideally i'd like to wire this up. but i know nothing about I.C.E as mentioned =/ how much work am i looking at? and how much would i need to spend? i have a old radio/speakers but i doubt they're very nice

Well to test you simplely need to wire live and earth to a volt battery
Using the best power cable you have or if it's baby stuff just use two runs.
Also wire the remote switch on to live.

Then you will just need an audio source, either a car head unit with RCA (use the subwoofer out if it has one) or an output from an home audio set up.

I'm guessing the amp will be already set up correctly for the subbox.
But it's worth checking it's set to low pass only on the built in crossover.
