it's a classic Tamiya rough rider with sand scorcher body

anyone know if you can still get bits for these, not sure what yet as it's been stored about 20+ years

That's awesome! I bet it'd probably sell for a pretty penny to the right person as well. There are forums out there dedicated to vintage RC cars.

Is it the nitro version? To be honest, you shouldnt need many parts for it, I think most of the suspension parts were aluminium on that model - maybe bearings and a strip down of the engine if its a nitro one - Id love to find something like this, rc cars are my other hobby :D

If he wants one I'd sell it and buy him a new one.

I only say that because when he breaks it (easy to do) you'll never get a replacement part for that and it'll be worthless once broken. If you sold it and got him a new one that parts are still available for there'll be less tears in the future!

I can only find the Buggy Champ which is a 1/16th scale version of the Rough Rider.
