hey sam are your side lights still blue even when using the lucas covers?
are they just blue 501s?
Hey John,
They're White 501's, look blueish in the pics, but are white in real life. With the covers on they are yellow, so only really have the them on in summer months where my lights arent used as much

But it's like cufflinks or a bow tie - easy to do badly.
If you intend to wire them up and have them working then modern lamps are much better (brighter) than the retro jobs.
(although the old lucas halogens hold their own on any dark country lane...)
Do a bit of reading about the law regarding the difference between spots / driving lamps / fog lights, how to wire them
and what kind of switch gear you need in the cabin. This matters because get it wrong and it's an automatic fail on your next MOT.
Decide if you want them on a bar or brackets before you go shopping because wobbling driving lamps are worse than useless at anything over 5mph !
