But Im just checking in to say hello again! I've till got 'Trig' my 1991 Mini City E. Bought him when i was 13 and Im now not long turned 20. He is in a sorry state being a bare shell and all.......but he goes off for welding and paint in a weeks time to get rebuilt into something very very special.....think low, wide, loud and rather quick........
Since Ive been on here i passed my test. used trig for couple year before he succumed to rust. I took him on a John O Groats to Lands End trip in June/July 2009 and we were at IMM in Brum too for the whole weekend. Been on Thistle run in 2009 too. Spent far too much money on him leading up to now so Im never getting rid of him, hence the rebuild.
Will post up the entire build thread up until now later on tonight but wondering if theres an image limit per post before I do this? Would be sooooooo much easier if I could just copy and paste the thread into a single post.
Heres a couple pics to get you started anyway.......

And heres how he looked not too long after the trip was done.....slightly lowered on some 7x13 fully polished no not chrome....) superlites and A539 rubber.

Plan is to make him like that again but smooth look (keeping seems/bumpers though!) as Im heavily into my VWs so their style has rubbed off on my tastes. it will be build to VW show season standard not Mini standard so everything is being done right so it doesnt need done again in a year or two. Being a full time student working 24hrs a week im a busy lad but its all been entirely self funded since day one of buying it which I am incredibly proud to be able to say. Most my age couldnt.......
So hello again!
Andrew (Mini 360)
