hello everyone just thought i'd say a few words, have a austin seven 1960 850 which has been in my family since new! my uncle had it new, then passed it to my other uncle who painted it beige! its a 70's thing, then it was passed to my dad who painted it green with a white roof, green is easy to come by when your employed by the forestry commision haha, he also done some mods straight through pipe, rear washer wiper, but then it was laid up for a while 30yrs! and my dad collected anything he could, cooper s steels, hopefully a cooper engine just waiting to find out, 3 branch manifold etc, sadly he passed away 8 yrs ago and it has been handed to me, the shell is now completely stripped all subframes good, welded up boot floor, and a small amount of welding on the floor will post pic's soon. :D

We have a 1960 Austin Seven too, ours is in Speedwell Blue. She is completely standard (although she has been restored) and only survived as one of her owners who had her for 27 years lived opposite a bitumen factory and regularly coated her in the stuff. It did a good job and I don’t think she would still be with us if it wasn’t for the bitumen!
