Just had a thought and wanted some advice, is it possible to switch from MK4 door handles to MK1/2? I've already changed the boot handle to MK1 as the internals were almost the same and the bodywork didn't need any modification.
But are the handles the same? I am assuming some welding would need to be done. Has anyone done it?

Yep.. I've just been looking at hinges and door shims! I will amend it..

Not possible without modifying your locking mechanism and although I'm sure it's possible I've never seen it done.
