I remember trying to find this before, and I've just had a google again. For what it's worth, I think the MPi shared the filter with the K series, hence the earlier filters don't fit. It's either 13/16 UNF or M20x*1.5.

Actually, after looking around for a while the UNF seems to be listed on most sites as the thread size for the MPi.

Edit: to add to that, ecp list MPi and K series filters as 3/4-16.

I'll have another look. I'm going to be changing my oil in a few days and could measure it then if that's any good?

Ah nice one John, it's good to have a confirmed answer. Apologies for my overly disjointed previous reply No edit button meant I couldn't tidy it up!
