Probably not since 3D has the ability to ruin even the best of movies (unless you like having a headache)

An LED tv is an LCD tv, they just use LED's for the backlight on the LCD panel instead of the old flourescentSome of its down to the tv you buy too. I’m not a great fan of plasma or LCD, I now have a LED tv over 100hz actually its 800hz.
