Does anybody please have any pics of a de-arched Mini with 12's on? I've got standard steelies, and I'm wondering what it'd look like. Just hunting for ideas.
Cheers

Alex is running archless on his mini http://www.theminifo...l=&fromsearch=1

MiniMagic has just removed his arches http://www.theminifo...ic=198403&st=30

And a poor photo, but it's one I took and I can't find one online, Miniworld magazines Sheldon is archless too

Even with the right wheels and tyres, it's borderline.

edit: those are with Rover (ish) alloys, 4.5 wide, I don't know where a steel would sit in the arch.

Edit : tried to link some of my photos of archless Minis on 12's, but getting error codes scrawled all over my message :(

Love the look! Think I'll have to give it a go. Probably best coinciding it with the A panel replacement so I can match the paint better when I fill the holes in. The wheels are only 4.5 so they shouldn't cause any problems, surely? Think the tyres I've got are 145's if that makes a difference.

Well my wheels are wider then that and with 145 tyres (i.e. I could fit 165 tyres), mine is borderline legal with no arches.

They cant stick out over a thread to be road legal.
I think 4,5x12 with 165s can still be road legal.. for a few mm!

just had to refit my crappy grey/black arches as failed my MOT due to the wheels sticking out too much. pretty gutted. i really liked that look. i am guessing certain MOTers will let you get away with it?

I defo think minis look better without the arches, very retro, sheldon does look nice like that, plus they stick out just that little bit
