Enjoyed this series so far.
Doubt the 2-cylinder A-Series would have been suitable in a Mini, maybe in a smaller model akin to the Honda N360 (that shared the Mini's gearbox layout) that was to the Mini what the Fiat 500 was to the larger Fiat 600.
Innocenti did look at a Mini-Mini project sometime in the mid/late 1960s as a domestic challenger to the Fiat 500 after a downturn in Lambretta sales, however with the Mini-Mini project soon drifting away from its original brief as a sub-Mini model into a Mini replacement under Issigonis and BMC doubting the car's prospects, nothing became of it when it was cancelled with the exception of its engine and gearbox soon being carried over to the 9X Mini project.

What carburettor are they using? I've rewound loads of times but can't catch what they're saying in their funny southern accents

Yeah Zenith, says it clearly as a southern softy at 47s
