I may be wrong here, but do these engines need their belts changed fairly frequently?

Maintainence is rather high on ducati yes, one of the main reasons I'm avoiding them. They are italian after all, so as long as it looks good.......

It has been a while!

Since moving workshops and starting up a business (Breaking Land Rover Discovery 2's and Classic Minis) I've not had much chance to do work on the bike engined mini (MIKE) 99% of the welding work on the body shell has been done though as I've done a few hours here and there.

The main problem/hold up now is buying bits for the project. After ALOT of thought, I've decided to go with a ZX12R engine as these seem very similar to a BUSA but at a fraction of the cost. I also need an Escort/Sierra RS Turbo (LSD) Rear end - Being that of Diff, Shafts & Brakes. Front adjustable coil overs are a must and they will probably be the next thing I need to get as once I've got these I can get it down off the 'Mini Spit' and sat back on the floor

Front diet subframe is now finished and ready for sandblasting and painting.

CAN ANYONE HELP!?!?! - I can't post an ad in the 'Wanted' section but I'm looking for a pair of front adjustable shocks with the mounts. ASAP

Thanks in advance..... Bob :) email: [email protected]

How much are you after for the bike? Is it complete and running?

Many thanks

Most bike engine car people use the freelander rear diff these days. They are lighter than the sierra diff, much easier to come by, the ratio is about right, and you can get LSD's for them.

Edited for spelling...

Been away again for a while! Totally rebuilt a mini for someone over the last 3 months. Have another in that's half finished, then HOPEFULLY I can crack on with mine over the winter (Cheap time to buy a motorbike for parts?!?!)

Looking for some front coil overs and 13" starmags / deep dish ultralites etc..

Thanks in advance people, hope everyone is doing well!
