Hello all

I have a 1996 cooper spi engine which i shall be running with a HIF 44 carb and stage 1 kit

This engine will be fitted into an 82 mini.

I also have an MG metro head with 35.7 inlet and 29 exhaust which is leaded.

I have been told recently that I cannot put the MG head onto this block as it would be a mismatch of

parts. Reason being that the cooper spi has a high compression ratio 10.1;1 and fitting the MG head would

Make it too high, something to do with the amount of cc volume, being high with the standard

cooper engine and head already , and that the large valve MG head would make things higher still!!

Any thoughts please.

Are any of you running this block with an MG head of this type and how is it?

Have you tried this and had probs?

Want some info please.
