just wondering if you can buy the top bit of the door that goes around the window as mine has cracked and rusted where it joins the main door skin.

If you can buy it does anybody know the name of it so that I can find a replacement??

I think you're referring to the actual door frame itself, in which case, yes and no. Yes you can buy a new door frame, but no you cant just buy the window frame section by itself - unless someone makes a repair panel that I'm not aware of.

Best option: Have someone weld the crack up, then adjust the door latch - cracked frames are usually caused by the window frame coming into contact with the door rubber before the latch closes fully, causing the frame to flex.

If its badly rusted then you will need to find a section of window frame and insert a new piece very much like i did on Project Erm.

The biggest problem with trying to replace the whole frame is its embedded into the door and will take some getting out. However if you have a look at the Project Erm link you can see where i made a couple of guides to clamp the frame to together whilst i added the insert sections to make the doors fit the cut outs better.
