Got a puncture on my way too work, so had to changed it on the side of the road, in the cold and wet, so I'm going tlo change the tyre over tomorrow. Having a problem with the wet though, everytime it is, I'm going to make a dizzy guard to stop the spray reaching it, when I change my tyre.

Took some photos today when I was helping a friend move house. This was as low as I'd love it, but it's not practical with my driveway. But it does look bloody good!

Not a great day in the world of my mk5, had the break seize up, so fortunately, my friend was only about 5 miles away in his lorry at the time, so he came and recovered me, then when I got to the yard, I sorted that out, the. Built out a pair of tyres and one went down as soon as I built it up, so I've gotta wait until I can get another tyre. Anyway, heres a picture whilst I was waiting for recovery >_<

Well when I come home from work yesterday, I only had three cylinders, so I borrowed a compression tester today, and these were my readings, (cold)
1-110
2-75
3-85
4-15(!)
So we quickly whipped the head off, and I'm going to take that to work and take the valves out tomorrow. Anyway. Photos :D

Make sure you clean out all of the stud holes. I had a nasty experience due to muck collecting in the bottom of the stud holes thus not enabling the head to be torqued correctly. 20 miles later one seized engine due to all four pots being full of water.

Changed the cams over yesterday, and got told today that was the wrong thing to do as the the injection cam is a better cam >_<

It's all finished, now runs better than it ever has, even if it didn't want to warm up today >_<
Picture of the bay all finished, just going to get the 'FORD' and 'OHC' painted silver, to brighten it up a bit.

Update time! I knew the MOT was up in either march or may, and it happened to be the 23rd of March, so I might have been driving around without an MOT for the passed two weeks. Fortunately, at the garage I wok at they had a spare slot ready for me as soon as I found out yesterday. Onto the test, it failed. It was only a minor fail though, the rear void bushes were
gone, and the off side track rod end had excessive movement. As u already had the void bushes, I whipped them, and they weren't majorly bad to do, as everyone had been warning me, must've just been scare mongering
:P. and the tre was as easy as I it should of. And I'm now legal again. :D

If you have the right tool to replace the bushes then they are straight forward to do. Lost count of how many i have done over the years and it always seemed that they needed doing every year. Did swop over to the estate version and they are better ones to have fitted.

Just got a chisel and a punch, and they knocked out. Knowing how dire a lot of the materials are these days, they'll propably wear out soon enough, and I'll have a look on the burton website for some uprated bushes
