I've asked this in the Forced Induction section but thought I might get a wider response here so here it is again.
I have a question regarding using silicone hoses & alloy joiners. Now I know this isn't mini related (well it is a small car) but I bought an upsized throttle body to fit to my Smart car but it's too big for the new Mocal silicone hose (43mm ID) I have as well & need to use reducers to fit it.
I would like opinions on the best way to do this.
The top pic shows an alloy reducer (54-43mm, 40mm long) & straight silicone coupler (54mm) & the bottom pic shows a silicone reducer (2"-1.75", 3" long) & alloy joiner(45mm, 75mm long). I have a limited space from the throttle body to fit the adapters & would prefer not to cut the new Mocal hose but dont mind cutting down any other couplers or joiners.
This LINK shows where the pipes & throttle body are to get an idea of space.
