I've noticed that the lacqueur on my Mini's roof (diamond white colour) is badly pitted - loads of little 2mm craters in the surface of the lacqueur (the paint underneath doesn't seem to be affected).

Is there a simple way of treating this, or is the only way to sand back the lacqueur completely and re-spray?

Best thing to do is sand back the lacquer and start afresh.
