Hi guys,
just wondering what choke cable will fit my car. It's a 1991 rover mini city and has a su hs4 carb. I've looked all over ebay and the twist and lock seems to only go up to the late 80's and the ones after seem to be for 1275's only. i've seen a couple that may be suitable but unsure?? has anyone had this problem before? i've even tried minispeed and minispares etc.

Cheers

In fairness, I can't see the choke cable being much different on a 1275 to what it is on a 998. I've had a couple of different types on my 1990 998. Generally, earlier cars had a cable that was fastened to the switch plate with a nut (best type), while later ones were clipped on. The Ebay twist and lock type (fastened with a nut) is fine, but you'll have to cut it to size. In short, you can't go far wrong with the Ebay cable or a Minispares item.
