Hi all

I`ve had a guy round tonight who`s going to spray my mini for me, he said its looking in decent shape, I`ve got some tidying up and seam sealing to do then in about 3 weeks its off for paint :D

I need to decide on what arches to go for and what colour to paint them. This is my mini when I first got her

I`m selling the 13" wheels and going down to 12x6 Anthracite deep dish superlights. I bought some sportspack copy arches a while ago, am I right in thinking these will be a bit overkill with these wheels?? Also do I paint them grey to match the car body or black to match the roof??

What arches would you people recommend? I prefer the ones that attach under the arch itself so no fasteners are visible.

Another thing has anyone got any pictures of gunmetal grey minis?

Many thanks

Dave

sports pack wheels are 6 inches wide like the alloys you intend to fit so why would they be overkill ?

Ah I did not know that Bungle, thank you very much. Does that mean you have to fettle the arches to get clearance?

I reckon silver arches would look best, especially if they are anthracite wheels

not if the wings are already cut for 6 inch wide wheels

I`ve replaced the inner and outer wings so I might have to go down the 12x5 then (and look for different arches) or do the alterations to the wings.

I reckon silver arches would look best, especially if they are anthracite wheels

Yeah I`m thinking of doing them the same colour as the body, that`s favourite at the moment anyway.

To be honest, sportspack arches dwarf sportspack wheels, as you can just about get away with those wheels with standard special arches, id say go for some slimmer arches, will in effect make the wheels look wider ;)

Group 5's painted same colour as the body. Or if your are going down to 12x5 you will probably get away with group 2 wides!

I'd have the arches to match the roof, or if you want them to match the body have them smoothed in. Looks well nice :)

There's nothing worse than over-arched wheels, so if you are sticking with 6x12s go for group 2/ 2 wide or similar
(Don't drown them! :P )

Stu that looks gorgeous.

Lets throw another one in the mix, how about W+P classics painted same colour as the body and 12x5 anthracite wheels? I`ve been trying to figure out what wheels I can go for without modifying the arches.
