Hello.
I have a 1977 Mini and I would like to know how I could change my grille to the MK1 one! Do I need to modify anything? Sorry for the stupid question but I did not considered it before and now I see that my Mini really needs it.

You will need to cut off the lip on the bonnet, or drill out the weld spots to remove it.

Might have to drill a couple of new screw holes for the Mk1 grille as well.

to put a mk1 grill on your mini it will just bolt on but with the moustashe you will have 2 grind off or drill of the spot welds on the lip on your bonnet

my bonnet is a fibreglass one! Will this be the same?

you will have to cut the fiberglass lip off then you might need to filler the edge if it gets damaged cutting it off not shore how well it will work as only done it with metal bonnets

If you do it let me know - I've got an original MK1 "moustache" that's looking for a new home.

The MK1 front end was MUCH prettier IMHO....
