Hi everybody,
just a quick one, i'm looking for an alternative engine earth strap location, as the current one on the upper stabiliser has rusted on, and im looking for a good alterantive place to put it as the current one has nearly snapped.
This is obviously a temp fix until i can remove the stabiliser bolt.
Any suggestions are welcome and the earth strap is a standard length one.

Thanks, Jake

It should be able to reach the slam panel. I've got a second one from the engine to slam panel and its standard length.

With a long enough cable you could whack it anywhere on the body.

Mine used to be bolted to the transmission bellhousing beneath the coil, and ran to the earth point behind the washer bottle.

The early minis used to have the earth cable from a bolt on the clutch casing to the inner drivers wing....do not make it to long as this will be inefficient....max 6"- 8" ............. :proud:

I needed to replace one on my car, and I went from my clutch housing, in the access hole, to the phillips screw with a few other earth cables on. This is on the bulkhead, but may be different on yours as mine is pre servo :proud:
