I have recently changed the Single Black Washer jets to the stainless steel Twin Washer Jets from Mini Spares, and am not happy at all with the Jets when in use.. look great though..

When sitting still the jets perfectly hit screen, but when driving around today and using them, they were all over the place, now the question i have, do you think its something i've done??? any setup hints??? or are these renowned for being rubbish and single jet the way forward???

Onto another problem, any fitting tips for fitting the S/Steel Blanking Plates as well? having real problems getting my hand in to try and get the bolt to bite on the bottom...

Hi, as with most jobs on a mini, they always seem like a simple 5 minute job, but turn into a pain in the a**. only real advice i can give on this one is patience... keep at it, they will just suddenly go and then leave you wondering what was wrong!
as for alignment on the jets, try setting then a little lower on the screen maybe to allow for the wind carrying the water over the car... if you get what i mean?!! going from 1 to 2 means a bit less back pressure for the tiny water pump so rather than shooting it at your screen its now just dribbling it... again... if you get what i mean!! lol as quite often with some mini mods, they are not carried out to improve functionality or performance but are more about a better "look".
just my opinions and someone else might have another, or better idea... thanks

I've had twin jets on a couple of cars with no problems. It's just a case of being patient and do some VERY FINE adjustment with a pin. It doesn't take much movement to knock them out a fair bit.

As for direction, you should aim them slightly higehr on the screen when stationary, as wind will push to water further down the screen while moving.

As for the blanking plates I have had no problems, although it may depend on whetehr your wipers park to the left or right?

Thankyou everyone, after some proper tinkering, have got the nozzles working how they should.. The blanking plates are still a problem though but I am now sure it's user problem caused by sausage fingers :)
