My radiator has a small crack so needs replacing. We can get a decent new rad but Any advice on how to change it yourself would b great!!! Am keen not to do take more apart than we need to and have had vonflicting advice.
We've been told to take off the bumper, hoses, pan and front wheels, loosen plastic casing that rads in and pull forward ringer some leverage and wiggle it out! Is this right and what else shud b done??
My mini has a/c if that makes any difference!!

Not as straight forward as a classic but what is these days. The wheels don't need to come off, but the front bumper and crash bar has to. The air con rad can be carefully eased forward to allow you enough room to get the rad out. The fan can be left in situe but needs disconnecting before attempting to take out the radiator. Draining the coolant off into a suitable container is what health and safety numpties say to do.
