Anyone ever seen this before?
I've known about it for a while, and also know it recently blew up over in the states. Looks fun..

Looks amazing.

I used to own a few RCs, but since I got the mini I've sort of forgotten them!

I still have a Tamiya TT-01, which is the chassis some of the people use for drifting in the above videos.

Haha - to get your car to be that precise will take hours of testing and tweaking. Join some forums, get to know the tricks of the trade. Just like owning a mini!

They're 4WD. A RC car is too light to be able to drift with just RWD; you'll just find yourself spinning. They also use the differentials to help them countersteer - normal 4WD RCs aren't able to do the countersteering that you see in the videos.

Darn, sorry. I had no idea. I thought the topic on RC cars was just a discussion thread. Obviously haven't been all the way through. My bad.

If you want to get into it without spending too much, buy one of these.

ive been into it for a while! i have a tamiya TT01 chassis

drift style subaru body :)

you dont need much.

stiffer rear suspension

hard compound tyres

locked diffs(i used screwed up paper as it gives a little play to help steering when not drifting and it also can be put to std)

anything after that can make it slightly easier/ability to keep it sideways longer. but to just go sideways thats all :)
