I found that while I was in a car park i reversed quickly doing about 20MPH I reckon and looked at the speedo quickly and it was on 0 and I was like what! :saywhat:
Is that spose to happen?

The drive is off the output. How's the speedo going to go forwards when you go backwards? This ain't no Ferris Bueller moment!

Your speedo won't display a reversing speed.. it'll only register forward momentum.

Electronic speedos will register a reverse speed though as they don't care which way round the sensor is going !

But in a traditional cable operated speedo, obviously the cable will spin in the reverse direction and hence force the needle down onto the stop pin... Also before you ask, the odometer has a ratch which prevents that from going backwards
