Hi there, my names chris and im new here and to minis in general. Im a uni student at oxford brookes.
bit of a mini virgin but always liked the look and the thought of any corner, any speed so i bit the bullet in december, sold my modded golf and bought a tatty but roadworthy 998 mayfair, and its the most fun ive ever had at 70mph :grin:

got loads of plans, and having looked at a few websites im planning a 998 turbo project engine for this car, but first a tidy up and a smarten :cool:

anyway, hope to see some of ya soon!

VW's are cool, but Mini's are cooler. I imagine its a bit of a culture shock going from a Golf to a Mini (what mark Golf did you have?), but once you start doing some performance mods to the Mini you'll wonder why you didn't do it earlier!

I've got a 71 bus and friends of mine run caddys and MK1 golf etc.

I've got to say though ,you wont have much more fun than in a mini...enjoy.

done the VW bug thing, done many others, but the minis are in a leauge of their own..
