You can do localised repairs by making your own repair sections. The lips on the door step to inner sill can be replaced again by making repair sections but to be honest if they are badly rusted then you may need to replace the door step and outer sill.

The lip behind the rear bumper is a three layer sandwich comprising of the rear valance the boot floor and the rear panel. Still fixable but if its shot all the way along then extensive repairs will be needed.

The front bumper lip can be repaired in sections but not sure if you can buy a complete lip. Maybe have a look at the M Machine website.

what tools do people use to 'create' these sections, i mean what do you use to bend the metal to the right shape?

If you can weld then cut some strips then tack weld them together to form the shape you need. Or you can use a vice and hammer to form simple folds.

On Project Erm i had to cut sections of the front windscreen and rear screen out and fabbed new sections to replace the damage. However these were flat and not folded. Also the rear aperture is compound curved so my first option would probably be the best route.

Really a lot depends on the damage you have got. If you can post some pictures that we can take a butchers at then we may be able to shed some more light on your problem.

Are there any issues with the rear screen lip being joined to the parcel shelf? I need to do a repair to my rear window lip so do I just need to be careful when cutting out the bad section & keep the parcel shelf lip untouched?

The door gaps could be down to several things, are they the original doors?? if not that could be an issue. They do look too low and possibly too far back so the hinge holes may need to be slotted in the A post and the the door catch will need to be adjusted.

The corrosion on the rear panel is very bad but repairable it will just take time. The other option is to buy this panel from M Machine

Although another door from another Mini will fit they are tweaked to fit their original car so may not fit quite as well on another car. Also judging by your pictures the door seals have been over sprayed which will not do them any good.

When you take the doors off you may find shims behind the hinge where it mounts to the A post. Now providing the gap between the front of the door and the A panel is of a good size then slotting the holes in the A post and removing some of the shims should allow you to raise the door thus making it fit better and reducing the gap at the top. The door catch that attaches to the rear quarter post is adjustable. You need to slacken the screws and lever the plate slightly as its normally got a form of putty behind it, this will release it enough to enable it to be adjusted.
