Hi guys,
I'm finally getting around to restoring my 1960 morris mini. It was made sometime during January 1960 and is number 13,700 off the production line so shares many parts with 1959 mini's. Sadly the mini has lost many of its valuable original parts during the past 51 years, my intention was to return this car to original condition but lack of funds due to being a student prevent me from getting hold of vey rare parts such as interior, washer bottle and other parts specific to very early models. I havn't yet decided if im going to build it as a replica of early motorsport minis before the cooper came along or just retro such as classic bucket seats and tasteful 60's and 70's mods. Here are some pics

Welcome to the MK1 restoration club!!
It looks like a nice little project.

There are a few of us on here doing mk1 resto's at the mo. Its good to see another fending off the grim reaper!
If you look at my project thread you can see that mine came as pretty much a bare shell, so i've been collecting bits and pieces to return it back to its original glory.
I've spent about £2000 so far on parts and am nearly there. Remember eBay is your friend - things always come up on there at some time or another. Don't be forced to pay over the odds for bits.

Have you had it long??
It looks pretty solid apart from the back end

Thanks, It's not as solid as it looks haha, its having a new front end, boot floor and possibly floors inside the car as there seems to be three at the moment "/
I'm trying to source the parts i need but its difficult to get parts for a mk1 on a budget. It won't be green for much longer, its going to be clipper blue or smoke grey :)

All that work will be worth it in the end... it's such an early mini, I like it :)
