hi mate, i always find most of how you set ur spray gun up and spray is preference from experience really mate, everyone sprays differently. different speeds, overlap, distance from the panel. you will probably get alot of different views. but as for spraying pressure- really with basecoat about 28-30 psi from the gun when trigger is pulled is good. the fan of the gun needs to be opened up nice and wide. and fluid control is something you need to play with to suit the way u spray. depends how quikly you pass over the panel as your painting.
also depends on the gun you are using aswell. and products- all lacquers will have a prefered psi they should be used with. normally on the package.
if your painting a metallic basecoat, ask you local paint shop for a good quality thinners, not standard! me personally i like basecoat thinners over 2k thinners. i find it lays the paint on better and makes it sit flatter on the panel.
but lots of videos on u tube for advice and guides.

practise a few different types of setups with gun on some old panels and see what you prefere.

good luck with the respray!!
