numbers on the gearbox any idea 1275, 998 ?

DAM2886 is basically for A type gears but A+ type drop gears. It's one of those casings used during the change-over from A to A+.

Precisely it's a A+ gearbox with A teeth profile & ratios. Used for all engines.

yup! make sure the transfer case is A+ other wise the idler gear bearings wont match

reason is when stripped engine 1275 the crank was just knicking the gearbox ( two of the webs on the crank ) so when rebiult ground bit away
