For the van, Asda came in top with a fully comp quote of £178
Privalage second with £183 fully comp
Adrian Flux came in third at £199 fully comp
And the dearest (even tho they were the cheapest last year) HIC at £223 third party fire and theft.

So my conclusion is that the so called 'specialist insurers' aren't the cheapest at all.

Is the mini modded at all?

I always thought the bigger names in insurance don't touch modded cars.

The specialist insurers aren't always the cheapest, but are usually better when you have a modded car, for a start they will know what your talking about. They will also usually offer a better package, like HIC with its inclusive track day coverage.
