hey guys, long time since my last problem,

ummm... my Sony BT3900 basically turned itself off?, after going over quite a hard bump it just did it's typical three sony turn off sounds, and then poof no power, but it let me eject the CD so I am sure it still has power, only earlier on in the day i was fiddling with the sub and two amps i have, but it worked fine for a good two hour drive..

Someone please shed some light on this please, otherwise its gonna have to be lonely in there! :ohno:

cheers ash

I went over a speed bump last night, it's the one on the road that's a bit too bumpy, and my Sony head unit turned itself off. It went back to 'standby', with the clock showing. I pressed on and it carried on as normal :teehee:

Did yours go off as if the ignition was off?

yeah mine has quite literally cut all power off, I've tried taking the fascia off and resetting it, and I've checked the power cables are okay and still connected, but there are no splits and the disc i had in there managed to escape when i pushed the button, so ideas welcome?

cheers ash

nope fuse is intact.

any other ideas? it was working all up until i hit this bump..

is the headunit linked to another fuse in another place?

like the interior light is linked with the hazzard lights?? :)

never mind, it's fixed now ( well last week ) only just thought of finishing post off :) it turned out to be the switching live fuse :) in the bump i must have caught it with my leg, as it hung down into my drivers footwell a bit :)
