This isn't going to be helpful, but do water free minis exist? :P

Remove all carpets - sit in the car when it's raining (or have someone play a hose over the car - not squirting it AT the car) and see where the water enters...... Is it running through from the rear? Is it running down from the windscreen surround area - or from the front bulkhead area near the 'fresh air' vents?

Is there some stuff that you squirt in the seal during and after fitting?

If its coming from your door seals see how well the door is fitting in the cut out. If the door is not sitting correctly it will miss the seal or not compress it.

I'm with bmcecosse here, remove the carpets and give the car a thorough soaking to trace the leak.

If its coming from the window seal area it may pay you to whip the windscreen out and give the scuttle area a check over and its also a good time to check the seal out as well for any cracks or ageing. If there is no damage to anything then you could refit the windscreen and use some windscreen sealant as well.

Take the trim off the dash area and inspect the 'scuttle' area around the air vents....... Sadly all too often you can push your fingers through......

you could try to fit new ones of those seal strips at the window edge, but I thought the doors had drain holes in the bottom, and let the water out?

A few people have said they should. . .but these doors don't :ohno:
Someone said to drill a small hole at the bottom of each door - not sure how wise this would be.

Yes drill three holes, one on the middle and one at each end where the inside section starts to curve round. When your door is dry inside have a look to see if there is any rust if so you will have to deal with before you add any protection.
