A ha it was your thread MM for some reason I never followed it... be sure I have now.

So the rear side panels are bonded and tacked along the top by the looks of it.

Yeah, welded down either side and along the bottom, then where it met the suage line it was bonded then everything was blended.
I made more work for myself by buying Pick up panels, at the time I could not get any van/estate panels anywhere, so they had to be re-shaped at the rear end.

I think it's time to dust off the cobwebs on this thread and give you a little update.
I have left it a while because, to be honest, all the work on the van has been to boring to bother posting about, a lot of sanding, tweaking and checking over everything.

She's now been in primer for a week, it was quite the milestone seeing as it took so long to get to this stage. With work being so manic of late I have had to put her on the back burner a few times but this Friday I am determined to get most of the blocking and flatting done ready for paint.

Here a few pics of her as she stands right now, all one colour for the first time in 6 months:

This weekend I've had to keep my hands off the van whilst the primer sets, so I got cracking on on the roof rack I picked up. It was a mess but I spent a few hours scrubbing it up and it's come up great, then I made some wooden slats for it. I'm chuffed with how it's turned out.
I also finished off my wheels, painting the red pinstripe around the lip and fitting all my white walls.

Cheers bud, It's a light stonechip for extra protection before paint. I'm taking as many precautions as possible to preserve the under body/floor pans. ;)

Apologies for yet another long wait.

Again poor Toria has sat in the corner of the paint shop doing very little as a result of a series of unfortunate/priorities events went on. Between the mass of snow, an influx of customers in the paint shop queue jumping and my work and commitments, she had to sit tight. Not an ideal situation but life I have learnt that life doesn't like 'the ideal'.
The ball has once again been rolled and this is the final time I will need to rely on others to have work done.

The prep work has been a nightmare, since the lower rear quarters had to be replaced the suage line had to be build back up which has not been easy, I wanted it perfect and it just wasn't cutting it the first time around so I stripped it back and started again.
The roof gutter has had some TLC, with damaged sections fixed off and the bead of sealant put back in.

I had the rear doors finished and took them home just to give me something to do at home and they are now finished:

The van went into the booth 3 weeks ago and had the interior completely finished:

Today she's gone back in for the final time and tomorrow she comes home, polished, gleaming and ready for the re-build.

I left the garage with just the black undercoat on (a matt coat to check that all suages and panels are pin on) so no exterior painted pictures yet, but I will bang some up tomorrow or on the weekend.

Just a quick request to a Mod,
this thread seems to have been put into the wrong section. Can someone move it to "Mini variants" please. :proud:

Cheers!
