I've just bought another Mini, a Studio 2. I know it's one of Rover's many "special editions" but i was just wondering whether there is actually anything particulatly special about it apart from the interior and the big 2 on the doors?
Its mint condition and has only done 30,000 miles from new! Paid £900 to my friend's mum who bought the car new!
Cheers
Tom

Mine was once a Studio 2 before it turned to Downton, they have a 3.1 diff, with high compression pistons, apart from interior trim, colour, and decals they are pretty much mainstream, heres a link to the brochure :

It is indeed blue

I was just wondering whether or not to start fiddling with lots of bits or whether to make a few changes, it looks like i will be making some changes. I will keep the colour and decals though.
Going to pick it up on Thursday so will put pics up then

the bigger the number, the quicker the car will accelerate higher revs will be in top gear,Also, you say 3.1 diff. What does that mean in laymans terms? My mini city E is a different ratio i believe, but what does it mean?
a city E has a 2.9FD (i think) which means its a better cruiser but not rocket accelerating.

Going through all the paperwork it still has the full Rover folder with price lists of optional extras and other models of the time. As well as its service history book and owners manual!
Still can't believe it when i look down and see 28k miles on the clock!
The engine bay could do with a new coat of paint. Does anyone know the name of the yellow they painted the blocks, and if it's still available?

Good look finding it, i have looked and looked and couldnt get anything, so i went to a paint shop and got the closest thing possible mixed up.
