I got up at 4 last time and was in the first maybe 30 minis out of the park!

Our camp didn't go to bed...

We had flaming exhausts and put up a good fight with the rev - off and hoot - off... and with ollies moo horn that won the most laughs! :w00t:

Wheeerrreeesss Jammy?

I'd just go straight to brighton to be honest.

Why bother going if you don't take part in the event? Surely that's the whole point of Mini ownership!

It's going the same way with the Riv Run - I've read that loads of people are going down on the Friday yet the official run is on Saturday. I guess people have their reasons but the convoys would be more eye-catching if everyone took part at the same time.

Oh well.

Everyone does take part in the convoy at the same time, on saturday morning!

I'll probably be a passenger again in someones car, can't be arsed with sitting in traffic for hours with my foot on and off the clutch!

 Well all,
Part of the fun is the drive from crystal palace to brighton, When you recieve your run ticket it tells you that it takes ages to get all the cars out of the park.
The first cars to leave are the cars in SHOW N SHINE and then all the others follow down A 23 to brighton, The sooner you get to crystal palace and get in the line up the sooner you will get out of the park.
As for over heated mini`s this is part of the day, You will see cars parked up in laybys to cool down and then they will carry on to brighton.
If you dont book your self on the run but join in on A 23 you will have to park in a car park in brighton as you will not be allowed to park on the sea front with all the cars that have paid to do the run.
Cars will leave crystal palace from about 08.30 am and start to arrive in brighton from about 10.00 am and the show starts then and all cars have to be off the sea front by 06.00 pm as after this time you will have to pay to stay on the sea front.
It is only £23.00 to do the run and you will get a t-shirt, programme, run plaque to put on front of car for the run.
Hope this helps.
p.s. APPLICATION FORM FOR RUN IS IN MINI WORLD ISSUE OUT NOW AND NEXT MONTH.
