Has anyone on here fitted or know someone who's fitted an Eaton M24 supercharger from a VW TSI engine to an A series?

The engine for my estate will be an A series 1100cc bored to 1215cc with a 940 head and something close to an MG Metro cam (maybe a 266 or SW5) and I'm thinking of supercharging it. I know the common choice is an M45 but I thought that with the engine being smaller than the norm the M24 might be just the ticket.

Should work but it depends on your cam choice and if your blow or suck through, as a super charger has its power low down the m24 may run out of puff low down but if you are fine with that then go for it!!

Have a look in this months Mini Magazine, there's a Clubman with a 1275 mpi engine with a blow through Eaton M24 charger on the front. May be worth a look. He's getting 112bhp and 125lb.ft of torque although says it's not the best after 4500 RPM. Could be worth a look though.

I've read the Mini Magazine article and it does sound like he's done some interesting work although I'm somewhat doubtful about his power figures.

I've got a thread going on Turbo Minis for anyone interested. Clicky
