Not quite understanding the question

is it a BMW Mini , or Classic (real) Mini

Is it a fuel injected mini (spi or mpi)

Or carb model with manual fuel pump or electric

what age is it

what CC is it ???

normally metal fuel pipes have rubber tube attached for flexing in the engine bay / fuel tank area

modern cars sometimes have plastic tubing instead of rubber

Copper pipe is unsafe on a car as it has a serious fatigue problem. It should be plated steel, or Cunifer, a copper-nickel alloy, very similar to brake pipe, but of larger diameter. And, the flexible hoses must be printed with the appropriate information to show that they are the proper material. There may be some information about that in the IVA manual.

But it is quite ok to do the whole system with the correct grade of flexible pipe. You need some at the engine end anyway, to accomodate movement.
