Hi all, sorry if this isnt a very interesting topic but i would really like to know if the cobra classic seats with headrests are comfrotable to sit in when your driving, i have heard a few people say that they are too far back and that they lean too far back too. But i really like the look of them and would like to have them in my car, so any feedback would be great thanks Toby

Its subjective really, while I think theyre some of the comfiest seats Ive ever sat in, on the occasions my Mum has been in my Mini she keeps saying, between screams of "slow down!" :D, is "these feel like theyre broken". Its just because the Minis so low, and not as refined as her A4

Also, one of the two things most people say when I give them a lift is how comfy the seats are. The other is "how the hell do I open the door" :D

Also depends on how spirited a driver you are! I was forever falling out of the standard seats in my car whilst going round corners, then after I got some cobra classics (well, cheap reproduction copies anyway >_<) I've been able to get around in much greater comfort, as I'm never being slammed in to the driver's door or having the handbrake shoved up my backside. :teehee: You'll get used to the slightly more raked back driving position after a while, although you might want to fit a steering column lowering bracket. I did and I found it much more comfortable with that little bit more reach-ability

On a serious note though, if I'm honest, I'd say that they are probably a bit less comfortable than standard seats for a long drive (i.e. more than an hour or so), bearing in mind that I've got the cheap versions. I've heard much better stories of the proper cobra classics, so do try and get the genuine article if you can afford them

i have a set , they are really comfy in my opinion , but a few of my larger mate's say it hurts there sides ,, and for climing in the back its quite hard i would say as the headrest hits the roof, but then again , my mini scrapes if i have anyone in the back so im not to fussed :D

I've got a Cobra Classics in mine, they're comfortable enough.
I took the headrest off the passenger seat, so then it's much easier for people to get in the back as the seat can move fully forward.

Anything with a similar look that people prefer over the cobra classics

Using the rear mounts for the shoulder straps, and the mounts between seats and on front of rear bins

I have the Cobra competition seats in my Rover 214Si rally car and the Corbeau equivalent in y Cooper 'S' and they are vrey good, even on long Endurance Rallies.
The driving position is determined by the way you install them. In theory they should be bolted in so that they don't tilt at all, thus making a Mini a 2-seat car. You also really do need full harness belts and the lap/diagonal may not work with the high seat sides.
