Hi all,
I was looking into doing a push button ignition like was on mk1 minis but I cant find anything on how to do it or any kits available, I was looking into it as its pretty cool to be honest, and also as a secuirtiy device seen as the button was low down, almost on the floor

Sort of, I was looking for one that you put the Key in the ignition, then press the button to fire it up, not just like a button like that one xD

well you need to intercept from the starter position on the key, to a button, then off to the starter. You would want a relay in here as the switch may/may not handle the high current, and could melt at the terminals.
I have a Big Green Button on my dash that lights up green when ignition is on, but engine not started. When pressed, car starts, light goes off
It's brilliant!

I've always wanted to wire up a long sequence of around 10 of those flip switches (single pole - double throw) with red flick up gaurds to my ignition; some that must be flipped one way, and others that must be flipped the other; so that to turn the engine on, I have to go along switching on and off a series of switches.
I'd then put them all along my headlining just above my head, so that I have to reach up to press them.
Then I'll feel like a fighter pilot turning on a jet engine.
Stupidly inefficient, and it would be incredibly inconvenient when you're in a rush, but it'd impress your friends once or twice xD
Simon.
