Right Side Indicator Doesn't Flash And Is Much Brighter Then Left Which Does Flash

hello everyone if any body has any ideas on what this could be or what i could test to find out the soloution to this problem i would appreciate it basically the indicator was working then started getting slower and slower untill it stayed on every now and then it works but rarely
any help would be appreciated

mine did this so i replaced the flasher relay and it fixed it :D

yeah thats what i thought it was but i have replaced that 3 times just in case and still not fixed no other simptoms that i can think of flashers work all other lights work no fuses blown

possibly a bad earth on the actual light unit??

I'd be going with a bad earth too, especially as the affected lamp is dimmer than the others. Are we talking about the right side front indicator here? If we are, then from memory the lamp itself earth's through a wire that connects into a the loom via a bullet connector under the bonnet slam panel/ behind the grille. Check this connection as they are notorious for corroding due to their location (i.e where they get covered in rain water, salt and road grime etc.)

take all bulbs out of that side and clean all contacts, both front indicators earth through bullets along the front lom the earth then goes upto the bulkhead on the drivers side and earths through a 1/4 screw or set screw dependant on model/ modification. also check the hazard switch and make sure you have battery voltage at the top left terminal as you take it out the dash as the indicators run hrough the switch.
