Right I want to get a new manifold, not going to fit it just yet as I'm getting a bespoke exhaust made up for her.

It will be for my 1.3SPi 93 Cooper.

I want a manifold which would work well bored out to 1330 or over, this won't be happening straight away but I want it there ready to accept it. I might also convert to carb so I need a manifold that will be alright running a carb too.

So any suggestions?

Looking to pay £100-£200

This is going to be purley for performance.

Dogmatix, sorry to pee on your fire but that manifold is pants :fear: , though is good for some one on a budget giving a vast improvement over the cast item. Probibly wont fit the injection inlet anyway.

The one you should be looking at is the Maniflow item for the Injection and is the best available. It costs around £95 but the front link pipe is also requiredhttp://www.maniflow.co.uk/

The Minispares item includes the front link pipe
http://www.minispare....aspx?pid=36120

The cheeper LCBs have a tendency to to foul the water heating pipes on the inlet manifold

So thats fine for sreet 1380, but anything more like a race tuned 1380 would be to much for the manifold?

Not that I'm going to get a race tuned 1380 but just for reaserch so I know what I can get out of it.

Just to let you know if you don't know already. The Spi has to be remapped once you get into the 90bhp bracket, as it can't make adjustment enough to compensate for all the mods.

I think thats why he wants to convert to carb

Sorry but this topic is going nowhere :erm:

TrialsLife, You answered your own question in your last reply :nugget:

Did you mention Race tune 1380 at the start. Eh, No :nugget: Just get a big bore manifold then  , but dont expect it to fit under the SPI inlet manifold and be far from ideal in the lower states of tune. Stop being a cheep skate and buy the manifold for the job and then upgrade with another when you 'Race' tune it :nugget:
