Hi all,

Need to know a rough figure of some wheels im trying to buy.

They resemble d1's. theres 5 of them, no tyres. What sort of weight am i looking at?

Trying to get a quote for a courier and the seller has no way of weighing them.

Thanks!

Said in the original post that they dont.

Cant be 50kg, wouldnt be able to lift them at that weight.

Seller said 14 - 18kg at a guess but i wanted to get a second opinion so i can be sure.

id be with you, im running wellers which are steel and my 70year old nan used to move them to vac her spare room, so they defo arent that heavy.

id say not more than 7 kg each but thats a guess, they maybe comparable to the weight of head...

So between 20 and 30kg roughly, anyone got a single wheel they could weigh?

I usually send wheels as 2 parcels, last set I sent cost about £20 to post.

Wrap em up with tape, stick a bin bag over them and then more tape!!

I think it was pony express I used?

Im having them picked up, and the bloke has no boxes, so i'll just tell him to do that.

I assumed it would cost about that much, wanted to get a quote, but parcel monkey are down and have been for ages so nothing as yet.

If theres no tyres then it would be wise to wrap them in an old blanket or something to protect the edges of the rims. If the alloy is dropped onto hard concrete it could be damaged.

He said he'd bubble wrap them for me, so no worries there.

10's I'm guessing? yeah 25kg max. Parcel monkey should do that, 2 packages for £18. Sent some recently. Cable tied two together, then wrapped in cardboard.

Yeah 10s, two packages, same address, picked up in one go? i assume?

If theyre ok with one pickup for two packages then that might work in my favour.
